After weeks of stress, finals are coming to an end. For the next month there will be no more textbooks, papers or exams to worry about. So what now? There is a dire need for some serious relaxation.

Luckily, the perfect solution is available right here in Central Florida: yoga class!

Red Door Yoga is an insanely cute yoga studio located in Winter Springs off of Tuskawilla and Red Bug Lake roads.

Dana Jennings, certified and registered Hatha Yoga teacher, said there is a class for everyone at Red Door.

At first sight, Red Door Yoga seems like a typical studio. There are large windows warped around the entire facility, but once inside, you can escape into a cocoon of pure tranquility. The studio is decorated with an Asian-inspired theme. Urns of Bamboo and Asian art welcome you as you pass by the reception area. Past a red door, you enter the khaki-green yoga room with a large red wall, which will become the setting for your relaxing experience.

Adding to the tranquility are a number of things that make the most stressed person feel as if they have escaped to a sanctuary.

There is the meditation room to help you unwind before classes, large pillows and blankets, and massage rooms; all there to provide an enhanced yoga experience.

All teachers are registered and certified with the Yoga Alliance, which means you are getting quality classes.

Joni Giconi, director of Red Door Yoga and a certified and registered Hatha Yoga teacher, explained that, "[the classes] involve yoga fundamentals, basic yoga, health and wellness, and mediation."

Hatha yoga, the keystone for all classes, is the type of yoga that is typically used in the West. "[It] involves movement, breathing and meditation," Giconi said.

Although there are alternative places to practice yoga, such as your local gym or even at home, Jennings explains that doing yoga "at a studio is a more intimate environment. It's much more of a sanctuary." Plus you get the proper instruction in a tranquil atmosphere.

Red Door also adds to the privacy of the yoga experience by covering its large windows with bamboo blinds. This is done to keep people from interrupting the class and also makes the studio a safe and comfortable place to practice the art of yoga. Red Door believes that doing yoga improves your breathing, circulation and helps with stress relief, along with other benefits.

If you're up to trying different kinds of classes, there is the Itsy Bitsy Yoga (if you have little ones), Power Vinyasa (power yoga), meditation and Yoga for Stress Relief. Stress relief classes "are wonderful for people who are on the go all the time," Giconi said. Sounds perfect for college students who have little time to stop and relax.

"Red Door Yoga focuses on whole health, not just physical," Jennings said. Aside from being a yoga studio, Red Door is also a school. Students can come here and get training to be certified yoga teachers. They also sell the art displayed and feature a new artist every month.

If you're looking for an alternative to the gym and a place to escape the daily pressures of life, this is the perfect place for you.

"It's a wonderful place to come and breath and move and flow," Jennings said. What could be better than that?
