Being a Florida girl born and raised 15 minutes from one of the nicest beaches in the country, it’s no wonder I found myself having the most fun when I was visiting the ocean.
I traveled to Viareggio, Rimini and Elba over the course of the last couple of weeks with some of the friends I have made so far.
Each beach was more amazing than the one before it and all had their individual perks that make me want to go back again.
Viareggio is perfect for single college girls because everywhere you look, Italian gorgeousness surrounds you. And what I mean by that of course, is that the young and sexy guys are out in full force.
Another perk is that no one speaks English. You might think “duh, you’re in Italy,” but in reality everyone speaks English almost everywhere you go.
Finding a city where you don’t have to search for the native language is a nice treat.
Viareggio was also the first beach we went to in Italy, so we had no idea what to expect. The mountains are seemingly painted on the horizon behind you, a marina filled with huge white sailboats is to your left and the sun sets over the water in front of you leaving you with a picture perfect sense of reality that you never want to go away.
Rimini was more family oriented. Little kids and happily married couples occupied every other beach chair.
The beach wasn’t as beautiful as in Viareggio, but the view wasn’t lacking by any means.
I would like to thank the invention of Sun Boys and tell every girl out there reading this that if you are searching for love, have your try at these spectacular creatures.
They are the guys that practically live at the beach, set up the chairs and umbrellas and escort you to your spot in the sand.
Every one of them is dripping with sexy. They have evenly tanned skin, perfect faux-hawks, manners that would make your grandmother proud and bodies that go on for days. I highly suggest a trip here if you’re searching.
Elba, however, was the icing on the cake of beaches. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life, this is including Paris and the Grand Canyon and any other place that you may think of.
Driving through the winding mountain roads looking at the brightest blue water below me took my breath away. You could see the rocks at the bottom of the ocean floor as if they weren’t even covered by water at all.
We had to walk about 1.5 km from the bus stop at the top of the mountain to the beach at the bottom. Along the walk we picked fresh cherries and grabbed some aloe leaves for the sunburns we were predicting later.
We skipped right over the sand beach and headed for the rocks to our left to have explore. We climbed the rocks as high as we could just to jump off of them into the water below. We swam in the beautifully churning Mediterranean and bonded with each other in a way only we can explain.
