A fire broke out at a Greek house at UCF today.

Orange County Fire and Rescue received the emergency call at 10:08 a.m. and the first trucks arrived at 10:14.

Sgt. Troy Williamson, of UCF PD,   said that an electrician was working on wires at the Pi Beta Phi house in "Greek Park" when wires were apparently crossed causing and electrical backup. The backup then caused a fire in a dryer.

There were no injuries or structural damage reported.

As of 10:45 am, no students were allowed back in the house as firefighters were still on the scene.
