The men's tennis team turned in a strong performance at the USF Spring Invitational this weekend. The team picked up 10 singles wins and seven doubles wins before the tournament was cut short on Sunday due to inclement weather.

The Knights opened play on Friday against Radford and took all four of their doubles matches. Senior Marc Rocafort and junior Blaze Schwartz, currently the 21st-ranked pair in the nation, recorded an 8-4 win over Ivan Selec and Zack Watson. Senior Johan Beigart and sophomore Joe Delinks narrowly defeated Erik Finkenbrink and Igor Ogrizek 9-8 (7-4).

On Saturday, UCF recorded five singles wins against Memphis. Sophomore Claudio Romano defeated Charlie Ramsey 6-4, 6-3. Senior Brock Sakey recorded a 6-3, 3-6, (10-8) victory over Michael Janz. Freshman Mario Samson also posted a 6-3, 6-4 win over John Taylor.

Doubles matches weren't played on Sunday due to bad weather, but the Knights recorded a pair of singles wins over USF. Romano grabbed a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Mark Oljaca. Sophomore Eugene Dolgovykh overcame Thomas Estrada 6-1, 2-6, (10-6).

The Knights will open up dual-match play on the road against 11th-ranked Florida on Friday.
