The No. 14 UCF Knights (24-6, 5-1) traveled to Miami to play the No. 9 Hurricanes (21-8, 8-4) with revenge in mind, and revenge came in the form of a 4-1 victory.

Ronnie Richardson’s solo home run in the third inning kicked the scoring off for UCF and a two-run eighth putted the game out of reach for the Hurricanes.

Six pitchers appeared for the Knights, allowing only one run on seven hits. Starting pitcher Eric Skoglund received the win for his two innings of work.

UCF is scheduled to host UAB for a three-game series this weekend, starting Friday at 6:30 p.m.
