The new crime epidemic is sweeping across the UCF campus in the form of jaywalking, which probably could have been prevented if some effort was put into prevention. Who knew that just trying to cross the street would cause such a hullabaloo? The ticketing of pedestrians and cyclists by UCF police should have come with some warning.
The time has come. With the fifth anniversary of the Iraq War behind us, it is time to talk about the war and what we feel needs to be done about it. American deaths have reached 4,000. Nearly 30,000 have been wounded. Half a trillion dollars has been spent and the number continues to rise at a steady pace.
Every year, the Student Union hosts the UCF Open Circle Art Exhibition, showcasing student artwork. The pieces are reviewed by a judge, and the creators of the best four are awarded with scholarships. As an employee in the Student Union, I've seen and judged the pieces myself and had conversations with people about what they liked least and what they liked best.
