Senior film major Eric Coppa-Cross edits film clips for his film featured in the Love Your Shorts Film Festival. Two UCF filmmakers were featured in the festival.

"UCF had a great film called Bubblegum Smackers," Holechek said. "I saw it twice this weekend, and I loved it. I thought it was brilliant, such a great idea. … I think that one's gonna screen at a lot of festivals and find a lot of success."

Gene Kruckemyer, the president of the festival and news editor for UCF News & Information, hopes that the connection between UCF and the festival will flourish and grow more next year.

"One of the goals was to get UCF filmmakers involved. We thought this was a good venue for local films to be entered," Kruckemyer said. "It's a good relationship, it's a budding relationship and we hope it can grow."

The Love Your Shorts Film Festival is currently developing ideas for next year's festival. For more information about the features short films in the festival, visit www.loveyourshorts.com.
