UCF SGA Senate election results announced

Student Government Association Senate results were announced Wednesday evening with the Black and Gold ticket winning the majority of the seats.
Elections were held Monday through Wednesday and students were able to vote on myUCF.
The Black and Gold ticket’s initiatives are fiscal responsibility and transparency, supporting disabled students at all events, furthering the green initiative on campus, creating WiFi in all on-campus housing and increasing funding and outreach for all registered student organizations.
Initiatives for the opposing ticket, Dedicated and Willing Nation of Knights, are fiscal responsibility, RSO and graduate student outreach, diversifying representation, easing access to funds and furthering green initiatives.
The Black and Gold ticket had 45 representatives running for Senate while the DAWN of Knights ticket had 18 representatives.
There will be eight seats vacant in the 45th Senate out of the 58 seats available.
Thirty-five seats were vacant in the 44th Senate by the end of its term.
