Police are still searching for a man who tased a Brevard Community College employee over three times at the UCF regional Cocoa campus.

The incident occurred Monday around 1:15 p.m. when an unknown man entered the provost's office on the second floor of the library, BCC spokesperson John Glisch said, according to Florida Today. “He then physically knocked down an administrative assistant, held her down on the floor and tased her at least three times,” Glisch said.

The suspect then fled. Others who were in the office were not hurt. The 62-year-old employee has been treated and released from a local hospital

Chad Binette, associate director for UCF News & Information, sent a campus-wide email shortly after 7 p.m. "UCF will work closely with BCC Security and the Cocoa Police Department as they investigate this incident. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available," Binette said.

Police say the suspect could be an angry student or former student and are reviewing a list of suspects who have been disciplined or made threats to the school.
