Ben Hunt named Defensive Player of the Week
Senior defender Ben Hunt was awarded for leading the Knights’ defense to two straight shutouts last week. Hunt was named the Conference USA Player of the Week.

Men’s soccer team moves up in rankings
Thanks in part to a 1-0 win over No. 17 SMU, UCF has moved to fifth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America South Region poll.
North Carolina leads the South Region, but the Knights are the highest ranked team in the state of Florida at five.
The team has a chance to move up in the poll and take an important win in C-USA when it plays Tulsa on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
Meredith Murphy awarded for strong performance
Senior libero Meredith Murphy posted 58 digs and eight assists during the course of two matches this weekend, good enough to earn her Conference USA Player of the Week.
"Congratulations to Meredith for this honor. She’s been one of the all-time best in this program by breaking the digs record and we just could not be happier for her today,” acting head coach Michelle Chatman said in a release.
The honor was the first of the year for the Knights.
