Knights down Southern Miss on the road

UCF (12-12, 7-5) entered the Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, Miss. to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (9-16, 3-9) looking for their first straight sweep of the season. With a commanding performance at the line, where the Knights went 26-30, they handed Southern Miss a 74-60 defeat.
Aisha Patrick went 13-14 from the line while Kayli Keough contributed 24-points, a career-high for the redshirt junior. The Knights were able to hold Southern Miss to just 31 percent shooting for the game and outrebounded their opposition 49-40. Yet another stellar performance for Erika Jones on the boards, she grabbed 10 rebounds, 4 of them offensive. Gevenia Carter added 13 points and freshman Andrea Hines dished out 7 assists and grabbed 10 defensive rebounds. Both are career highs for the freshman.
The Knights host Memphis on Sunday at 2 p.m. for the Komen Pink Game. All fans who wear pink get into the game with free admission.
