Senior defender Bianca Joswiak prepares to send the ball downfield against Dartmouth. Joswiak and the Knights allowed Boston College to take 22 shots in a 2-2 draw through two overtime sessions.
When two top-10 teams collide, fireworks are expected.
That’s what the women’s soccer team got when they went on the road to face the Boston College Eagles (6-0-2).
The team battled throughout the match, but were unable to top the Eagles, earning a tie after two overtime sessions.
The Knights (5-1-1) went back and forth with the Eagles in regulation.
Boston College struck first with a goal in the 16th minute, but UCF answered with two goals in the 68th and 71st minutes.
Senior forward Nicolette Radovcic scored the first goal on a shot under the crossbar, tying the match at 1 in the second half.
The tie would not last long, as junior forward Kristina Trujic added a goal of her own just three minutes later.
The Eagles came back late in the match to tie the game at 2, sending the matchup to overtime.
Neither team was able to record a goal in either of the overtime sessions despite Boston College’s five shots and UCF’s two in extra time.
Radovcic led the offense with three shots on goal.
The Knights are scheduled to face North Florida on Friday at 5 p.m.
