Softball falls in extra innings to Florida State

It took extra innings, but UCF (4-6) eventually dropped another game, falling 6-2 to FSU after a ninth inning Seminole homerun.
Freshman pitcher Mackenzie Audas (2-4) gave up seven hits with a homerun, and had nine strikeouts.
The Knights gave up five runs off of two hits and one error in the bottom of the ninth, after leading 2-1, to close out a devastating loss to the Noles.
In the ninth inning FSU's Morgan Bullock reached on an error, advanced to second and then third on a wild pitch. Tiffani Brown singled down the left field line, two Seminoles were walked, setting up Briana Hamilton to hit the game winning homerun.
The Knights will now return home to participate in the UCF and Courtyard by Marriot Invitational, starting on Friday.
