This is the first installment of what will be a game-week feature of the best quotes from the weekly media availability. This week features offensive tackle Chris Martin, linebacker Troy Gray, running back Storm Johnson, wide receiver Rannell Hall and head coach George O'Leary.
They said it:
Chemistry along the offensive line
"It's better than anything I've ever been apart of, as far as our chemistry. Every Thursday before the game, well not necessarily Thursday but the day before we leave, before we fly out, we'll all go out and get something to eat together. We do like camaraderie things like that together all the time, and that's not something we've always done since I've been here. I really do appreciate the type of camaraderie that we have within the offensive line it makes us strong, and we goof around in the huddle before the play so it makes it a little lighter for us, it's good to have that type of camaraderie.
Overall thoughts on defense:
"I think overall as a defense we've been flying to the ball and that's one of those things we pride ourselves on defense and also in practice. In practice we just work hard getting everybody getting to the ball you don't just want one hat on the ball you want multiple guys getting to the ball and I think that's what we have been doing on the field is flying around and getting to the ball."
Early impressions of Penn State:
"We're breaking them down now, but the main thing I get to the guys is it's more of a respect factor, we're trying to go up there and get respected."
On crowd noise:
"The noise factor is actually a big thing, you know I remember last year against Ohio State I was in my stance and I felt the ground shake and I was like 'woah.'"
On this week's game against Penn State:
"I think the main thing is they got a good football team and we have to go out and play with the same energy we played the first two games with but we're going to have to play a lot better and more consistent in different phases of the game,"
