The record may not properly represent this UCF team that is finding its stride as a unit with impressive individual performances scattered throughout. The Knights added another win to the column as they shot down Marshall, 55-44, on the road.

The Knights (9-9, 4-2) arrived in Huntington, W.Va., to test their staying power in Conference USA against the Marshall Thundering Herd (12-6, 3-2), a team owning the fourth spot in the conference. With the score knotted up at 23 by halftime, UCF was carried out of its shooting woes (30 percent in the first half) with another contribution-filled game from Kayli Keough. She tallied 14 points and 9 rebounds and was perfect from the line for the game.

Add a stellar all-around showing from junior guard Gevenia Carter (28 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and one block), who continues to push the ball in transition and make difficult, buzzer-beating shots, and the Knights convincingly knocked off a worthy opponent.

During this three-game winning streak for the Knights, their ability to create second-chance points with the rebounding skills of Erika Jones, Keough and Aisha Patrick has become one way of exploiting their

 opposition.

They out-rebounded Marshall 37-35; Jones had 12 of her own. Depth in the paint is also beneficial when it comes to getting to the foul line, where the Knights were 16 for 21 in contrast with Marshall, which able to draw just three shooting fouls.

The Knights head home to face SMU (10-8, 3-2) on Thursday.
