*Popcorn Flicks in the Park: Movie at Enzian Theater

Where: Central Park, 251 Park Ave. S., Winter Park
Cost: Free
The Buzz: The Enzian Theater, an outdoor theater, will be showing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. People are advised to show up with a blanket and to gather for a fun flashback movie in the park.

Friday, Aug. 15

*UCF Football FanFest
When: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Bright House Network Stadium
Cost: Free
The Buzz: Fans will get the chance to meet the players and coaches, as well as get autographs and pictures with the defending Fiesta Bowl champions. Inflatable games will be available for kids, as well food trucks.

*Firestone Live Concert Series
When: 7:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
Where: Firestone Live
Price: $10 general admission
The Buzz: A huge concert event with special performing guests including: Traverser, Dharmata, Murderfly, Kill the Sound, Lydia Can't Breathe and Fiery Sushi. Hosted by: Bobby Death from The House of Death Show. Firestone is a very popular spot for students when they go downtown. There will be $2 drinks and is open to those 18 years and older.

*Wall Street Plaza Block Party
Where: Wall Street Plaza
When: Fridays and Saturdays, 11 p.m. Through Sept. 18
Price: Free
The Buzz: Through the middle of September, Wall Street regulars will have the chance to visit the eight different bars while enjoying live DJs and drink specials.

Saturday, Aug. 16

*Gone With the Wind: Reel to Real
Where: Orange County Regional History Center
When: Aug. 16 to Nov. 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Price: Students with ID: $13
The Buzz: This art exhibition commemorates the 75th anniversary of one of the most iconic movies ever made. From costumes to artifacts, this show gives guests a glimpse into the movie magic that made this film so popular.

*Concert: One Republic, The Script
When: 7 p.m.
Where: MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 N. US Highway 301, Tampa
Price: $25 to $65
The Buzz: If you're willing to travel, One Republic and The Script are coming to Tampa, about two hours away from Orlando. One Republic is bring its "Native Summer Tour" to Florida after the success of its hit single "Counting Stars." The Script is best known for its songs "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "Breakeven."

*LINK Launch
Where: CFE Arena
When: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Price: Free
The Buzz: LINK Launch is an opportunity for students to meet, enjoy music and live performances and win prizes. Incoming freshmen will have an opportunity to meet with their O-Teamers from orientation. The first 800 students will receive a free smoothie from Smoothie King.

*The Wayans Brothers Live
When: 8 p.m.
Where: Hard Rock Live Orlando

The Buzz: Keenen, Damon, Shawn and Marlon Wayans all come together for the first time on one stage. They have been around for a long time and almost everyone is familiar with their work.

*Volcanic Blackout UV Paint Party
When: 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Where: Firestone Live
Cost: $15
The Buzz: The Volcanic Blackout will feature lava-colored UV paint, along with fire breathers and performers to set the mood for an incredible night. Attendees are encouraged to wear white — and leave soaked! The event is for those who are 18 years and older.

*Target Back-to-School Shopping Event
Where: Target in Waterford Lakes
When: 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Price: Free
The Buzz: This is an exclusive, after-hours shopping experience only for UCF students. Transportation will pick up and drop off from Libra, Academic Village, CFE Arena, Lake Claire, Knights Circle, NorthView and Rosen.

Sunday, Aug. 17

*Eola Sunday Market
When: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: International Plaza on International Bridge and Washington Street
Cost: Free
The Buzz: The Eola Sunday Market has gained a reputation of being one of the best in Central Florida. The market features fruits and vegetables, homemade breads, an assortment of local cuisines, beer, wine and a variety of artwork and entertainment.

When: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: UCF Arena
Cost: Free
The Buzz: Convocation is a celebration of the beginning of a student's academic journey. UCF President John C. Hitt and other distinguished speakers will be there. First-year students can receive a souvenir 2018 graduation tassel.

*Open Knight
When: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Student Union
Cost: Free
The Buzz: KoRT will be presenting Open Knight, where more than 200 organizations will set up to help students find the right organization to join. There will also be prizes and free refreshments.

Monday, Aug. 18

*Tech Commons Open House
When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Computer Center I
Price: Free
The Buzz: Technology Commons will have its first open house. It will display the latest in student gear, teach students about the services that Tech Commons offers and will have free prizes.

*Intramural Sports Showcase
When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m
Where: Recreation & Wellness Center
Price: Free
The Buzz: This will showcase some of the IM sports offered at UCF. There will also be events such as human curling that uses a slip-n-slide, flag football, skill challenges and other events.

*Taste of UCF
When: Noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Pegasus Ballroom, Student Union
Price: Free
The Buzz: The Multicultural Student Center is hosting this event, where students can create a personalized passport to sample traditional recipes from more than 20 countries around the world.

*LINK Amazing Race
When: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m
Where: UCF Reflecting Pond
Price: Free
The Buzz: Students will work in teams of four or five and use their Internet-capable devices to race around UCF in a campus-wide scavenger hunt. Students will have to solve riddles and will discover beneficial campus resources. There will be prizes.

*CAB Presents: Movie Knight
When: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: CFE Arena
Price: Free
The Buzz: CAB will be showing Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier inside the arena.

*Park Ave CDs and Enzian present "Mistaken for Strangers"
When: 10 p.m.
Where: Enzian Theatre, 1300 S. Orlando Ave., Maitland
Price: $7.50 for members, $8 for students and seniors, $10 for adults
The Buzz: Park Ave CDs and Enzian have teamed up again to bring a one-time showing of Mistaken for Strangers, a film about two brothers that has been heralded as "one of the best documentaries about a band" by Michael Moore and "the funniest, most meta music move since Spinal Tap" by Pitchfork.

Tuesday, Aug. 19

*Knight v. Food
When: Noon to 2 p.m.
Where: Student Union
Price: Free
The Buzz: This food challenge is presented to selected students to see if they can conquer Wackadoo's Ultimate Fatass Burger challenge. Students will have to eat two pounds of burger, nine slices of American cheese, nine strips of bacon, one pound of pulled pork, barbeque sauce and one pound of fries.

*Harry's Poolside Bar & Grill grand opening
When: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with ribbon cutting at 6:15 p.m.
Where: Rosen Centre Hotel, 9840 International Drive, Orlando
Price: Cost of food
The Buzz: The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Harry's Poolside Bar & Grill will include a delicious sampling from Chef Tello's Caribbean-style menu, as well as food from the new Sam & Bubbe's lobby bar menu. *CAB Presents: Comedy Knight

Wednesday, Aug. 20

*FYAE Welcome Expo
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Pegasus Ballroom, Student Union
Price: Free
The Buzz: A combination of student organizations, campus offices and departments and local vendors will gather to show students what they have to offer. There will be free food, great music and more than $2,000 in giveaways.

*SGA Open House
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Student Union
Price: Free
The Buzz: Students can learn about the services and resources provided by the Student Government Association and will be able to sign up for the three mentorship programs. There will be food and an opportunity to win promotional items.

*Free HIV Testing
When: Noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Recreation & Wellness Center
Price: Free
The Buzz: Wellness and Health Promotion Services is offering rapid HIV testing with results in 20 minutes.

*Knight Rave
When: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: CFE Arena
Price: Free
The Buzz: Live DJs will spin their beats to bring students EDM, dubstep and house music while students rave with glow sticks and black lights.

*Bagel Bar
When: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Central Florida Hillel

The Buzz: Students will have an opportunity to meet and socialize while they enjoy bagels and schmear.
