What's October without pumpkins, gourds and haunted trails? Orlando has plethora of pumpkin patches where you can pick pumpkins, pose for pictures and post to social media until your pumpkin spice latte-loving heart is content. Here is where you can find your share of the fall festivities:

Paul J. Hagerty High School

When: Weekdays from 4 p.m. until dark and weekends from noon to 6 p.m.

What: The patch is only 1.5 miles from the UCF main campus, and it's run by volunteers who are raising money for the Hagerty Boys Soccer program. Pick your perfect pumpkin from a variety of pumpkins and gourds here.

University Presbyterian Church

When: The patch is open Monday to Saturday from 1 p.m to 9 p.m. through Oct. 31

What: Megan Brown, UPC minister coordinator, invites everyone to come to the patch to get their pumpkins and to join UPC for its special fall festival on Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for face painting and games galore. It is located 2.4 miles from the UCF main campus.

Painted Oaks Academy

When: The patch is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 31.

What: Painted Oaks Academy will celebrate the Halloween season with its Pumpkins and Ponies Festival on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be pony rides, hay rides, food, music, face painting, games and local vendors. Admission is free, but there is payment for the festivities. It is located 4.3 miles from the UCF main campus.

First United Methodist Church Oviedo

When: Through Oct. 31, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

What: Come pick your perfect pumpkin or gourd at the church's patch. It is located 5.6 miles from the UCF main campus.

Horsepower Ranch

When: The Pumpkin U'Pickem Festival is Oct. 25 to Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Forest of Fear event will be Oct. 24, Oct. 25, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Nov. 2 is the Luau Car Show Festival, which is a classic muscle car show. It will feature more than 150 classic cars.

What: The U'Pickem Festival will have a DJ, face painting, the pick-your-own pumpkin event, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, food, a full bar and more. Admission is free. Pumpkins are $1 per pound. All events require tickets that can be purchased at the event. Tickets for the Forest of Fear may be purchased at the gate for $10 or online at www.horsepowerevents.com for $7. If bought online, please take the receipt to the event.

Community United Methodist Church

When: Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

What: The pumpkin patch has been a CUMC tradition for more than 25 years. At this patch you will find pumpkins galore, along with a scholastic book fair and a rummage sale. The proceeds go to the student ministry of the church for its camp, retreats and other special events that go on throughout the year.
