2014 Central Florida Veterans Job Fair

The Buzz: Wells Fargo and the UCF College of Business Administration are hosting this job fair, open to all UCF students, alumni and veterans, to help local veterans and their families find work. There will be more than 75 employers present, along with prizes, networking, financial planning advice and guest speakers. Those who attend are advised to dress business professionally and to bring several copies of their resumes.

Veterans Commemoration Ceremony

When: 11:30 a.m. to noon

The Buzz: This ceremony will honor service members with a flag display. It will feature the UCF Brass Quintet and the Air Force ROTC Color Guard.

The Black Lillies with Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line

The Buzz: This event is held every year and is sponsored by the Multicultural Student Center to bring awareness to the threat of HIV and AIDS in the LGBTQ community. Dinner will be provided for free, but space is limited.

5th Annual Fall Showcase

City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade

The Buzz: The City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade offers a unique and patriotic opportunity for the Central Florida community to honor those who have served, as well as active duty personnel. Veterans groups, active duty military, Orlando firefighters and police officers, high school bands and youth clubs annually participate in the parade. The parade takes place in Downtown Orlando beginning at Orange Avenue at Robinson Street, turning left on Central Boulevard and left on North Rosalind Avenue, ending at Livingston Street.

Shimmy Knights' Fall Showcase
