While you're around the table with family this Thanksgiving, piling your plate high, thousands of families around the nation don't have that luxury.

To help you get in the generous holiday spirit, the Central Florida Future has compiled a list of local food pantries where you can donate food to help those less fortunate.

Human Crisis Center

Address: 5514 Edgewater Drive

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What to bring: Anything nonperishable or food that can be kept in a freezer.

Knights Helping Knights Pantry

Address: 4000 Central Florida Blvd.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What to bring: Anything nonperishable.

Second Harvest Food Bank

Address: 411 Mercy Drive

Hours: Monday to Friday,7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a .m. to 2 p.m.

What to bring: Anything nonperishable.

Prince of Peace Food Pantry

Address: 1515 S. Semoran Blvd.

Hours: Nov. 22, 9 a.m. until noon and Dec. 20, 9 a.m. until noon.

What to bring: Any nonperishable food items can be dropped off Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Salvation Army

Address: 400 W. Colonial Drive

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Closed noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

What to bring: Any food items.
