A lot can happen in five minutes. And apparently that's all the time it takes to crank out handcrafted, personal pizzas at the UCF area's newest slice joint, Pie Five.
With a grand opening slated for Friday at 11 a.m., Pie Five will celebrate its third Orlando location with entertainment from Mix 105.1 FM, merchandise, food giveaways and, of course, plenty of pizza.
"It's hard to resist the idea of creating your own perfect, individualized pizza with all the fresh, high-quality ingredients you love and have it baked-to-order in less than five minutes," said Ten Pies Chief Operating Officer Libor Vitu in a release. "We're changing the way people experience pizza and we couldn't be more ready to bring this game-changer to the people of Orlando."
The new location has been gearing up for Friday's festivities with pre-opening training events to not only test its products and work out any kinks, but to also give back to the university that sits only a mile away. With half of its sales from the week going to Knight-Thon, UCF's dance marathon and largest student-run philanthropy, the Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network Hospitals will reap the benefits of the location's pizza dough.
"These are extraordinary students working for an equally extraordinary cause, and we're looking forward to using the excitement around our opening to support the important work they're doing for the children of Orlando," said general manager Kevin Ringueberg in a release.
