It wouldn't be the UCF area if there wasn't yet another new restaurant opening.
Joining Bar Louie, Spoleto and Bento Café, Blaze Pizza will soon makes its way to the Plaza on University shopping center.
Expected to open in March, Blaze Pizza will allow patrons to get their hands on personally made pizzas in just three minutes.
Blaze started in California, and the franchise eventually expanded in early 2014 to parts of Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.
"The concept of Blaze Pizza is fast casual," said Rachel Bledsoe, who handles public relations for Blaze at the Orlando location.
Bledsoe said she believes what makes Blaze different from many pizza franchises is how fast and convenient it is for customers — especially college students who are constantly on the go.
All of Blaze's pizzas are 11-inch personal pizzas, and customers can pick their favorite crust, sauce, cheese and meat.
With the pizzas under eight dollars, customers can add as many toppings as they want, free of charge. Vegan cheese and gluten-free crust are available upon request for an upcharge.
"It is the value and speed of fast food … kind of like Chipotle or Qdoba where you sort of have an assembly-line concept and customers can build their own pizza," Bledsoe said.
Blaze offers nine signature pizzas as well, including Meat Eater, Veg Out, BBQ Chikn, Red Vine, Art Lover, White Top, Link In, Green Stripe and Simple Pie.
Full or side salads such as the Roasted Veggie and Gorgonzola, Antipasto, Tomato Basil and Ovalini, and Classic Caesar will also be on the menu. Customers can also enjoy a cold drink with their food with Blaze's assorted beer and wine options.
"Blazing-hot oven plus dedicated pizzasmith plus 180 seconds equals fast-fire'd, perfectly crisp perfection," according to its website.
The website also consists of an allergen information box, breaking down the ingredients included in each specialty pizza.
Although the official grand opening date is still being planned, Blaze Pizza will be having a free pizza promotion the day after the opening.
This delicious day will offer each customer a free personal pizza — no catch and no restrictions apply.
