The Buzz: Violence in relationships is becoming more widespread among young couples. This workshop will open personal doors on ways to get rid of unwanted harm along with ways to contact help.

One Billion Rising for Social Justice is a global call to women survivors of violence and those who love them to bring justice in places such as courthouses, police stations, government offices and school administration buildings where women should feel safe, but often do not.

Run Around the Pines 5k by Florida Hospital

Where: Showalter Field; 2525 Cady Way, Winter Park

The Buzz: This hometown favorite offers a flat and speedy course. The walk benefits schools with a chance to earn $500 for participating in the 5K. A free run for kids is available.

RWC Adventure Race: Legends of the Knight's Temple

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: UCF Lake Claire Recreational Area

Cost: Free

The Buzz: The Legends of the Knight's Temple: Adventure Race consists of several mental and physical challenges around campus, which each team must complete within three hours. Sign-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and the race will begin at 9 a.m. at Lake Claire. Currently enrolled students and members of the RWC are eligible to participate. There will be prizes for the top five teams, as well as raffles. Food will be provided by Lazy Moon pizza.

5th Annual NEDA Walk Orlando hosted by EDNCF

When: 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Lake Eola Park; 512 E. Washington St., Orlando

Cost: $25 registration fee

The Buzz: This is the 5th Annual fundraising walk, which serves to bring awareness to the community regarding eating disorders and body image issues. Proceeds from the walk will be given to the EDNCF Treatment Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to those in the Central Florida area who are having difficulties in paying for treatment for their eating disorder or body image issues.

13th Annual Orlando Folk Festival

25th Annual UCF Clarinet Day

The Buzz: This event will feature recitals by Lynn Musco from Stetson University, Calvin Falwell from USF and a master class by Mitchell Estrin from UF. Participants can bring their clarinet to play in the clarinet choir during the event as well.
