The Buzz: Hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Business Model Competition gives students the opportunity to present their ideas to potential partners and customers. Students also have the chance to win cash and prizes, as well as compete at the international level. The judges will be looking at prototype development, how clearly laid-out their plans are and their ability to solve a significant problem.

Cost: $5 for general admission, $15 for show cars

The Buzz: For this event, European cars and motorcycles are taking over Festival Park. There will also be a corn hole tournament, a variety of food vendors and various automobile vendors.

UCF Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra

When: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: St. Luke's Lutheran Church; 2021 W. State Road 426, Oviedo

Cost: Free

The Buzz: The UCF Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra present a joint concert, which will feature the music of Carter Pann, as part of the Annual Concert Series. Pann will speak about his music at 6 p.m. for interested participants.

8th Annual Medical School Admissions Symposium

When: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: UCF College of Medicine in Lake Nona

Cost: $27 for UCF students or $34 for transportation from main campus and back included, $32 for non-UCF students without transportation included

The Buzz: To help students with the task of applying to medical school, UCF is hosting an admissions symposium that will include 22 medical schools from around the country, including all nine Florida schools. Attendees can participate in a question and answer panel and listen to the CEO of Nemours Children's Hospital.

Start Blogging Like a Pro

The Buzz: This workshop details what it takes to build, customize, test and launch a successful blog and brand. It will be lead by Bess Auer, the founder of Florida Blog Con. She was the first editor of the Central Florida Top 5 and was awarded "Best Neighborhood Blog" by the Orlando Sentinel in 2009. Auer will show participants how to determine the correct content-management systems, plug-ins, logos, etc. that are needed to be successful online.

The Buzz: This panel discussion will include conversations about the impact of eating disorders across different cultures.

The Buzz: This event, which is part of National Eating Awareness Disorder week, will emphasize how Knights should be proud of everything their body can do — including dancing along in this fun, hip-hop cardio class.

Challenge Course Open Knight Climb

Where: UCF Challenge Course

The Buzz: At this Challenge Course Open Knight Climb, join the Recreation and Wellness Center for one of its most popular events. The first 120 people to arrive will be able to climb, and each UCF student can bring one non-UCF guest (18+). Bring a valid and active UCF ID (non-UCF guests need a valid photo ID). Wear athletic attire and closed-toed shoes, and do not wear jewelry.

Guided Arboretum Tour

When: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Where: Timothy R. Newman Nature Pavilion

Cost: Free

The Buzz: Ray Jarrett, coordinator of UCF's Urban Forestry and National Lands Programs, will lead this tour that will depart from the Arboretum office to give participants a chance to learn about UCF's flora, fauna and the Prescribed Burn Program.

Healthy Eating Cooking Demo

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Leisure Pool Services

Cost: Free

The Buzz: Participants can learn how to cook healthy on a budget from a UCF Student Health Services dietitian. The food made at the event will include fresh foods grown at UCF that are available to students for free.
