Florida Strawberry Festival

When: Thursday through March 8 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: 303 N. Lemon St., Plant City

Cost: Advance tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12. At the gate, tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger are free.

The Buzz: The Florida Strawberry Festival will have social events, programs and entertainment for all ages, including fine arts exhibits, crafts and more. A variety of desserts and dishes using strawberries will be available for the public.

Relax & Flow Yoga

When: 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: RWC @ Knights Plaza

Cost: Free

The Buzz: This is an introductory class that will work on basic poses, breathwork and meditation. This class aims to reduce stress, improve health and increase energy in an easy-to-learn way. Beginners are welcome.

2015 Central Florida Fair

When: Thursday through March 8, times vary per day

Where: Central Florida Fairgrounds; 4603 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando

Cost: Advanced gate admission for adults is $8 and $5 for children ages 6 to 11. Regular gate admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children.

The Buzz: The 2015 Central Florida Fair consists of rides, entertainment, livestock, food and creative arts for visitors and residents. Fair-goers can enjoy live music, animals, funnel cake and more throughout this 11-day festival.

NEDA Week Yoga Class

When: 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Where: RWC @ Knights Plaza

Cost: Free

The Buzz: As a part of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, this yoga class will focus on positivity and self-love, with an emphasis on being proud of your body and what it can do.

Theatre UCF Presents "(a love story)"

When: 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: UCF Theatre

Cost: Tickets are $20 standard, $18 for seniors and $10 for students

The Buzz: (a love story) follows six characters of a variety of ages through their lives as they experience the ups and downs of love and romance. It's not your typical love story, though, as it takes place in a world where plants and animals can talk. The play runs through March 1.

High-Five Chain to Set New World Record

When: Noon to 1:30 p.m.

Where: Memory Mall

Cost: Free

The Buzz: UCF invites students to come out for an event that will bring attention to a group of UCF students who make free 3D bionic arms for children. This event will serve as an attempt to break the world record for the most consecutive high-fives. UCF hopes to draw at least 1,700 people to join this high-five chain and event, sponsored by Microsoft.

UCF Softball vs. Princeton – Blackout game – Faculty/Staff Appreciation

When: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: UCF Softball Stadium

Cost: Free with student ID or UCF faculty/staff ID

The Buzz: As part of the Wilson/DeMarini Tournament, fans are encouraged to "black out" the stadium with their attire at this home game. There will also be a UCF Rally Towel giveaway for attendees.

Pokemon Party

When: 6 p.m. to midnight

Where: Oblivion Taproom; 5101 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando

Cost: Free

The Buzz: To celebrate 19 years of Pokemon, Streetpass Central Florida is hosting a night of Pokemon movies. The event will include vendors, Nintendo gifts, silent disco and a mini video game tournament.

UCF Softball vs. Iowa – Blackout game – Faculty/Staff Appreciation

When: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: UCF Softball Stadium

Cost: Free with student ID or UCF faculty/staff ID

The Buzz: This home game is part of the Wilson/DeMarini Tournament and Knights fans are encouraged to "black out" the stadium by wearing black attire. There will also be a UCF Rally Towel giveaway for attendees.

The Buzz: Come cheer on the Knights baseball team as it takes on Ole Miss at this home game. Festivities include a money drop contest and a performance by the UCF Marching Band.

Volunteer UCF Day and Knight of Service

When: Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m.

Where: Volunteers should meet at Lake Claire Recreational Area

Cost: Free

The Buzz: UCF's first Day and Knight of Service calls students who are willing to accept the challenge of volunteering for 24 hours straight. The service event will include food, music and entertainment. Students are advised to bring water, snacks and sleeping bags. Volunteers will perform acts of kindness all over campus and around the Orlando area during this event. Students can form teams and work in shifts. The Buzz: In preparation for spring break, the UCF Police Department will host this workshop to offer safety tips for students traveling over break.

Tuesday, March 3

Butt Clean Up Event

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Student Union, back patio

Cost: Free

The Buzz: The Student Health Advisory Committee encourages students to come out and show their support for the smoke-free campus by cleaning up cigarette butts around campus. Volunteers can participate for any amount of time they choose, and materials will be given out at check-in. The top four collectors will be awarded $50 Barnes and Noble gift cards.

UCF Baseball vs. Florida

When: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Jay Bergman Field – Baseball Stadium

Cost: Free with student ID

The Buzz: At this home game, Knights are encouraged to come out and cheer for the UCF baseball team as it faces its first of two games this season against the Gators.

Wednesday, March 4

Create a Professional Portfolio

When: 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Where: Graduate Student Center; Colbourn Hall, Suite 146

Cost: Free

The Buzz: Participants can come compare the advantages and differences between using a hard-copy portfolio and an electronic portfolio. The workshop will focus on the importance of showcasing skills, experiences and accomplishments through the use of a portfolio.

Shimmy Knights Belly Dance Club

When: 9 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

Where: UCF Student Union, Room 221

Cost: $3 for one class, $20 for the semester

The Buzz: Shimmy Knights is the belly dance club at UCF. No prior dance experience is necessary to come and enjoy a night of learning and taking part in this cultural dance.
