Light the Knight 5K

When: Check-in at 7 p.m., race starts at 8 p.m.

Where: Memory Mall

Cost: Free for UCF students

The Buzz: Join CAB, SGA, Late Knights and Knights of the Turntables as they light up the night and glow for 3.11 miles. After finishing the 5K, runners can party with a DJ battle competition hosted by Knights of the Turntables.

AIDS Walk Orlando 2015

When: 7:30 a.m. to noon

Where: Downtown Orlando

Cost: $25 registration fee

The Buzz: Join RESPECT UCF as a team member in this year's AIDS Walk Orlando. The 2-mile walk is a step in the fight against AIDS, and the funds raised will go toward providing services to thousands of men, women and children who are living with HIV/AIDS in the Central Florida Area. This event is in conjunction with PRIDE Faculty and Staff Association and UCF LGBTQ+ Services.

GR8 To DON8 8K Run for Organ Donation

When: 8 a.m.

Where: Lyman High School; 865 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd., Longwood

Cost: $30 to $35

The Buzz: This walk/run aims to spread awareness and education about organ and tissue donation. The event's purpose is to honor those who have been through organ and tissue donation.

Orlando Together Bike Rally and Parade

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Downtown Credo Coffee; 706 W. Smith St., Orlando

Cost: Free

The Buzz: To celebrate Orlando's diversity, Downtown CREDO and Parramore Kidz Zone have organized a bike rally and parade where local youth centers will compete in a float-building contest. The event will end with a block party at ZL Riley Park on Parramore Avenue.

Rec Fest 25

The Buzz: Rec Fest is a co-ed event where teams of three will be made up of either two girls and one guy or two guys and one girl. Events will test your brain, athletic ability and maybe your water skill. The specific events are secret so teams won't have time to prepare.

Multicultural Student Center presents LGBTQ+ activist Janet Mock

The Buzz: To celebrate Transgender Visibility Week and Month of the Woman, the Multicultural Student Center and LGBTQ+ Services at UCF will host Ms. Janet Mock, who is a prominent LGBTQ+ activist and author who has been recognized as an outstanding leader in Transgender rights. Following her keynote speech, there will be a brief meet-and-greet with students.
