Soon, Orlandoans will be able to combine two of their favorite things — puppies and shopping — in one place.

Canine Commons, a dog park, will open in Waterford Lakes Town Center near UCF May 2, with a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a release.

The park will be located at Kid Lando behind Bright Now Dental. The first 100 visitors accompanied by their furry best friends will receive a free gift, the release states. During the grand opening, guests can receive first aid training and learn doggie CPR. There will also be a giveaway for two gift baskets valued at more than $50.

Canine Commons has locations in Allen, Texas; Birmingham, New York; and Mount Prospect, Illinois; to name a few. Guidelines vary from park to park, but some require memberships and have separate areas for large dogs, small pups and their owners.
