Oviedo residents will soon have a new park to enjoy in town, near UCF.

Oviedo on the Park is set to open this Saturday, May 16, according to a news release.

The free grand opening event will kick off with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony set for 9 a.m. along with other day-long festivities, starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until 10 p.m.

Throughout the day, the park will feature food trucks, a host of vendors, a children's play area, live entertainment at the amphitheater and cultural center, and other amenities.

Attendees will be able to park their cars at designated areas of City Hall, the old Albertsons' plaza, Boston Hill Park, the Gym and Aquatic Center, and on designated spaces along Oviedo Blvd. Parking will be prohibited along Alexandria Blvd., Clara Lee Evans Way, Central Avenue, Mitchell Hammock Road, and Boston Hill Cemetery Road.

A shuttle system will also be running throughout the day to transport attendees from the parking areas to Oviedo on the Park.
