The Buzz: The event will display new works by Tom Abbott using different materials to construct three dimensional wall structures. The artist will be in Studio 7 for a reception and visiting.

J'OUVERT POWERS

The Buzz: This Caribbean festival is a part of Orlando Carnival.

VOLUNTEER UCF: 39th ANNUAL GOLDEN SOUTH CLASSIC

The Buzz: The Golden South Classic is a track and field meet for high school students that benefit the Sports Medicine Program at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Volunteers will meet at Lake Claire before carpooling to the event, and will receive a complementary Adidas shirt and a SeaWorld ticket.

WORLD BEAUTY FITNESS AND FASHION AWARDS SHOW

SANFORD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY

The Buzz:Bring out your patriotism and salute veterans by attending this parade and ceremony. The parade will start at 10 a.m. and travel along First Street from Sanford to Park avenues. To attend the remembrance ceremony afterward, head north on Park Avenue and find the ceremony. It will be held at the Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m.

MEMORIAL DAY COMMUNITY-WIDE PICNIC

The Buzz: This event will have free carnival games, an obstacle course, bounce house, live entertainment and free food, including hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies, watermelon and popcorn. The picnic is an outreach event for the community to honor and remember fallen heroes.
