1st-ever Orlando Whiskey Festival takes place Saturday
The Orlando Whiskey Festival is set to make its first-ever appearance on Saturday at Mercedes Benz of Orlando.
Sponsored by Whiskey & Bizz, LLC, Central Florida's first-ever whiskey festival will feature: fine single malts, flavored whiskeys, blended scotches and American whiskies, such as bourbon and rye, and flavored moonshines, according to the Orlando Whiskey Festival.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample more than 50 different whiskey brands and connect with industry professionals.
The event will be catered by some of Winter Park's leading restaurant groups. Live entertainment, cigars, and craft beers will be available at an outside lounge area. In addition to samplings, the festival will host a silent auction featuring more than 40 different rare, limited-release bottles of whiskey, according to the festival's website.
Tickets cost $195 for VIP admission, $95 for general admission, and companion tickets are available for $65, however, companion tickets will not have access to whiskey tasting.
VIP guests get early access to the festival in addition to a private sampling from Buffalo Trace Distillery's Antique Collection. All attendees will receive a commemorative Orlando Whiskey Festival glass upon entry of the event. All net proceeds will benefit The Lovely Project, an Orlando-based nonprofit organization that exists to guide and empower young women.
