UCF professor Rebecca Hines and her Emmy-nominated sister Cheryl will compete on ABC's Celebrity Family Feud tonight.

The team will be completed by their mother Rosemary Harbolt and brothers Chris and Michael, a UCF graduate, according to the ABC website.

The proud Knight family — Cheryl graduated from UCF after attending West Virginia University and Florida State — will be competing against Emmy award-winning actress Niecy Nash, known for the TV shows Clean House and Reno 911!, and her family.

What can viewers expect to see from the Hines clan?

"Expect a lot of great answers," Cheryl said. "We really wanted to win for charity."

Charity, specifically United Cerebral Palsy, was the selling point for Rebecca.

UCP is a nonprofit organization that works to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities. Their nephew was born with cerebral palsy, and the family has been active with the organization both locally and nationally since his birth, Rebecca said.

"I do a lot of work with them as a UCF partner," she added. "My brother teaches at their school, and Cheryl is on their national board."

The family was flown out to Los Angeles the day before they were set to film the episode and they all had a great time, Cheryl recalled.

"It was so fun ... we had dinner the night before on Sunset Boulevard," she said. "It was exciting to see everyone in their makeup chairs talking strategy."

Due to the early filming schedule, Cheryl said the family did shots of Tabasco in the green room to wake themselves up.

Rebecca admitted that the family should have included buzzard slapping into their strategy, saying, "I can tell you that the Hines apparently don't have the fastest hands."

And how was their host, Steve Harvey? The sisters had nothing but good things to say about the comedian.

"He's very fast on his feet and he's very funny," Rebecca said. "He made everyone feel very comfortable."

Harvey even gave the family advice before the show, Rebecca said, reminding them that it's not the questions that are hard, it's the answers.

"He said, out of a hundred people, there are always going to be a couple of crazies who say crazy things, so those are the hard ones to get, and he was right," Rebecca said.

There was one answer that Rebecca said the family should have guessed, being Central Florida natives, and they did not. To see what it is, you'll have to tune into tonight's episode.

The episode will also feature a battle between Katy Mixon of Mike and Molly and her family, pitted against Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty and his bearded family, the website states.

The program will air on WFTV-Channel 9 Sunday at 8 p.m.

Cheryl is best known for her roles on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and the ABC sitcom Suburgatory. Rebecca is an associate professor for the Department of Child, Family, and Community Sciences at UCF.
