The family of UCF professor Rebecca Hines and her Emmy-nominated sister Cheryl won $25,000 for charity on Sunday night's episode of ABC's Celebrity Family Feud.

The sisters and their family — mother Rosemary Harbolt and brothers Chris and Michael — battled against award-winning actress and comedian Niecy Nash and her family to win the Fast Money round.

The money will go to the family's favorite charity, United Cerebral Palsy, said Cheryl, an alumna.

UCP is a nonprofit organization that works to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities. Her nephew was born with cerebral palsy, and the family has been active with the organization both locally and nationally since his birth, Rebecca said.

Although fun and light-hearted, the competition can sure get you.

During the first commercial break, Rebecca said the producers came up to her mother and told her that she needed to smile more for the cameras.

Rebecca said the family thought it was funny because, "if you knew my mother you would know that she smiles all the time, so she must have been a little nervous."

The 23-minute segment was cut down from 45 minutes of filming in front of a live studio audience.

The number of bodies in the studio combined with the heat emanating from the lights and the equipment turns up the temperature so much so that the producers told brothers Chris and Michael to try to keep from sweating through their clothes, Rebecca said.

"So when we walked out for a dress rehearsal, my brothers both walked out in white Hanes T-shirts onto the stage in front of the live studio audience," Rebecca recalled. "I'm sure a lot of people were wondering if the Hines were just the worst-dressed family ever in Family Feud history."
