Taste of the Town: Maxine’s on Shine
Tucked away on a residential street lined with cobblestone and picket-fence homes, Maxine’s on Shine not only redefines the term “neighborhood restaurant,” it’s also been voted Orlando’s No. 1 in the category.
The brunch and dinner restaurant, complete with a full wine and beer bar, welcomes foodies to a “friend’s home” in colonial town for a comfortable and delicious environment, “with a splash of sexiness.”
Quaint yet lively, the ambiance inside Maxine’s is often accentuated by live musicians, and its calendar of events features daily specials, including half-off bottles of wine priced at $40 or more on Tuesdays.
The varied menu includes fine-dining options, such as the lobster ravioli or rib-eye steak, while the brunch menu offers Southern flair options, such as chicken and waffles.
To find a new meaning to the word drink garnishes, order Maxine’s Bloody Mary, which comes topped with shrimp and bacon strips.
