The Buzz: Come out for a night of live R&B music.
In Memory of Michael Namey Vigil
When: 5 p.m.
Where: Lake Claire
The Buzz: The UCF and Orlando communities are invited to attend a vigil in honor of UCF student Michael Namey, who collapsed in class on Sept. 21 and died the next day. Organizers hope to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and the importance of being CPR/AED trained. A moment of silence will be held for Namey at 8 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 17
Creative City Project 2015
When: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Downtown Orlando
The Buzz: Hundreds of musicians, performers and artists will take to Downtown Orlando’s streets, including La Nouba and the Orlando Ballet. Tickets are free and can be reserved at eventbrite.com.
College Park JazzFest
When: 6 p.m.
Where: Albert Park
The Buzz: This music festival will bring Edgewater Drive to life with jazz, blues, funk and R&B music.
Sunday, Oct. 18
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Winter Springs Town Center; 1164 Tree Swallow Drive, Winter Springs
The Buzz: Enjoy live entertainment, food and more than 100 artists and vendors who will display their work at this art festival.
2015 Latin Food & Wine Festival
When: Noon to 8 p.m.
Where: Dr. Phillips Center Seneff Arts Plaza; 445 S. Magnolia Ave., Orlando
The Buzz: The festival will feature cooking demonstrations by local chefs, an Artisan Area with local artists showcasing their work and a main stage with Latin music and entertainment. Attendees can purchase dishes from Central Florida’s local restaurants and distributors as well.
Monday, Oct. 19
When: 9 p.m.
Where: CFE Arena
Cost: Free for students, $25 for public
The Buzz: The headliner will be Damon Wayans Jr., from shows such as New Girl and Happy Endings. His opener will be Jimmy Tatro, who appeared in 22 Jump Street. Doors open at 8 p.m., and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster. Alumni can contact the UCF Homecoming Facebook for a code for discounted tickets.
Tuesday, Oct. 20
Jazz Chamber Group Concert Series: Concert 1
When: 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Rehearsal Hall Auditorium
Cost: Free and open to the public
The Buzz: This performance will include acts by UCF Jazz student combos.
Wednesday, Oct. 21
UCF Volleyball vs. USF

Cost: Free for students with a valid UCF ID
The Buzz: Knights fans are encouraged to come out to watch the women’s volleyball team take on the USF Bulls.
Orlando Magic vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Cost: Tickets start at $9.25
