Taste of the Town: Sushi Pop
Located about 10 minutes from UCF, Sushi Pop Seafood + Chops has been featured in Orlando magazine for rolling out some of the best sushi in Orlando. The restaurant has also been previously voted as best molecular gastronomy restaurant by Orlando Weekly.
Inspired by Japanese pop culture, Sushi Pop showcases a modern style to sushi. Each dish on the menu offers unique flavor combinations, and are made from fresh ingredients, some of which are even shipped in from Japan, according to their website.
The ambiance of the restaurant itself, which features contemporary design, embodies Japanese pop culture. This inspiration is reflected everywhere from the staff dressed in a manner reminiscent of the Harajuku style of Japan to the anime that plays on the televisions in the restaurant.
For those who may not have a taste for sushi, Sushi Pop also offers an array of dishes that also showcase a modern style to cuisine with their own unique flavor combinations to boast like the grilled pepper steak or the buffalo rock shrimp.
