Henry Fong is set to DJ and perform electro-house music at the 11th annual UCF Alpha Tau Omega "Rock the Wreath" event Saturday.
The event is set to start at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the fraternity’s house on Greek Park Drive.
Pre-sale tickets are $15 when bought from an ATO brother while supplies last, and tickets are also available on eventbrite.com for $17 to $22. Guests can purchase tickets for $25 at the door, and all proceeds from the concert will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.
Brandon Glaser, ATO’s philanthropy chair, said the fraternity aims to raise $50,000 this year for the cause.
“I'm really excited to reach out to different demographics this year," Glaser said. "With this artist, we're not just reaching out to the Greek-life community, but we're reaching out to the Orlando music scene that has a very lively following for Henry Fong."
Glaser expects about 1,000 to 1,500 attendees at the event, and he said he's excited that Fong, a 2010 UCF alumnus and ATO brother, is coming back to his stomping grounds.
The disc jockey and music producer played a part in the UCF community at Knight Library’s “Riot Wednesdays” in 2007 for a few years, Glaser said.
Fong has now made a name for himself in L.A. as a DJ with big-room progressive and electro-house sound. His music has taken him around the world and locally at performances such as Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando in 2014.
Other performers at the concert will include DJ Curly, Blix and Alex Wood.
