The inaugural Moonstone Music Festival is bringing the godfathers of rock to Central Florida's doorstep next spring.
In an announcement today at the Orlando Eye, KISS frontmen Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley said the band would be opening for the festival April 30 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.
Def Leppard is scheduled to headline the the May 1 show.
The two-day weekend festival is slated to feature more than 100 acts across six different performance spaces, according to a press release. Kansas, The Flaming Lips, Vintage Trouble, Sebastian Bach, Raven Eye, Super Blood, Scott Stapp and White Buffalo are also scheduled to perform.
In addition to its musical acts, the festival will also boast comedy performances, sideshow attractions and live art installations.
Tickets start at $179 for a two-day pass and go for up to $16,500 for the Almost Famous VIP package.
