Knight Library named no. 2 college bar in U.S.
Delish.com ranks nightclub for 'impressive' size among other qualities.
Knight Library has another trophy of recognition to add to its shelf.
The UCF nightclub and bar has been named one of the best college bars in the nation yet again.
Delish.com, the result of a partnership between Hearst Magazines and MSN, ranked Knight Library as the No. 2 college bar in America.
"A ranked list of the best college bars in America would not be complete without the University of Central Florida's Knight Library," the website states.
The site chose the bar, first of all, for its impressive size.
With three full bars, a dance floor, a patio bar and VIP sections, the risk of spilling your drink is a little lower.
The bar also boasts dart boards, custom beer-pong tables and cornhole boards to get Knights prepped for football season.
The Library's newest addition is an Island Oasis frozen drink machine.
"We try to be more than just the average bar that gives away free drinks. Anybody can open up a bar and give away free drinks, but to provide an atmosphere that caters to a bunch of demographics, and a bunch of different students, is what sets us apart from the rest," said Chad Biller, co-general manager.
The No. 1 bar on the list is The Boot in New Orleans, Louisiana — a hot spot for Tulane University students that offers a 50-cent drink night.
Knight Library was originally tied with The Boot for the top spot, but in the end location won out, as Delish.com's panel of college student judges determined the Boot is prime location for celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
