The UCF chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity was reinstated from its suspension on Wednesday, according to a letter from the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
The fraternity was suspended on March 14 for hazing, disruptive conduct, harmful behavior and alcohol-related misconduct.
The letter states that since the fraternity completed all of its educational sanctions and requirements, and since it reached one half of its original suspension, that it could request to have its suspension modified.
Alpha Epsilon Pi was originally suspended for the spring 2014, summer 2014, fall 2014 and spring 2015 semesters.
Because its suspension was reduced, the fraternity will be placed on organizational probation for fall 2014 and spring 2015, and also will not be able to host or participate in events where alcohol will be distributed or available.
