A man suspected to be responsible for two recent robberies at Sterling Central Apartments was arrested Monday.

Darrious Pettress, 22, who allegedly robbed two victims at the apartment, is not a UCF student, according to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff's Office. He is accused of holding up the residents inside the complex's stairwell, during which he reportedly stole cellphones and other personal belongings. Both victims said they were robbed at gunpoint.

Pettress, who lived at the complex with his girlfriend, is currently in custody, according to the statement.
