Two Palestinian students from Birzeit University, the first university established within Palestinian territory, will be visiting UCF on Nov. 12.
Along with sharing their experiences as students pursuing academic careers in a conflict-ridden region, Lian, a senior psychology major, and Emad, a sophomore mechatronics major, will also be discussing the relationship between education activists in the U.S. and Palestine.
The students are touring the U.S. as part of the Right to Education Tour, a campaign that is debuting its U.S. tour in November as a means of creating a linkage between U.S. and Palestinian students, the website states.
Students for Justice in Palestine at UCF will be hosting the event, which will be held in the Visual Arts Building from 7:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m.
