Even though most students are studying hard for finals, they didn't miss the opportunity to give back to the community.

When the Student Union is transformed into the Study Union, students can donate five pounds of food to Knights Helping Knights Pantry. In exchange for their donation, students received a free Study Union shirt.

The Student Union ordered 210 shirts and all of them were gone in less than 48 hours, said Student Union Communications Manager Sara Lane.

"With that being said, we have broken a record of collecting 1,050 pounds of food during this Study Union event in less than 48 hours," Lane said.

The Student Union is still collecting food items at the front desk, and students will now receive a water bottle instead of a shirt.

Study Union is when the Student Union is open 24/7. The Student Union also hosts programming to promote happiness and good study habits during finals, Lane said.
