Update: According to witnesses, the injured woman was pushed from a moving vehicle and is in stable condition.

The man driving the vehicle, a black Nissan, fled the scene after ejecting the victim from the passenger door, said UCF PD public information officer Courtney Gilmartin. Neither person involved is a UCF student.

The driver remains at large, and the incident is currently under investigation by the UCF Police Department.

Original story: The UCF Police Department is currently investigating an on-campus car accident that sent one woman to the hospital.

On Monday around noon, police closed off the Orion Boulevard and Gemini Boulevard intersection where the incident occurred. The roads have since reopened.

The woman involved has been transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, Gilmartin said. Workers from UCF Environmental Health and Safety were on the scene cleaning the streets following the incident.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
