The university has begun its search for the new CEO of the UCF Foundation following the retirement of the corporation's current leader later this year.
The UCF Foundation manages the university's various private donations and endowments. Funds managed by the Foundation are applied to a variety of projects throughout the school, including college programs, scholarships and construction, according to the UCF Foundation website.
As the current CEO of the UCF Foundation and vice president of Alumni Relations and Development, Bob Holmes was tasked with spearheading the university's first capital fundraising campaign, which raised $366 million. He is currently overseeing a second campaign with a target goal of $500 million to be raised within the year.
"As we approach the midway point in UCF's second comprehensive campaign, I feel confident that the timing is right to pass the leadership of the Foundation to a new CEO, one who will surely build on the strong support of our current donor and alumni base," Holmes said in a press release.
Holmes will remain in his position until his successor is hired, at which time he will transition to a "part-time role as special assistant to the president for principal gifts," according to a release.
