UCF offering up to $75,000 in prizes for 'Shark Tank' competition
UCF will be hosting its own version of Shark Tank at the UCF Joust New Venture Challenge (NVC) on April 17, taking place in the Venue from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The deadline to submit an application is March 17.
The Joust celebrates the entrepreneurial efforts of student by offering them an opportunity to network with community leaders and earn resources necessary to turn their visions into reality.
Students are offered opportunities to showcase their start-up venture proposals. UCF will award up to $75,000 in cash and business services to the best new startup proposals. The cash awards are split as follows: first place- $10,000; second place- $5,000; third place- $3,000; fourth place- $2,000.
Semi-Finals will take place on March 27 and lead to the Finals on April 17. The Semi-Finals are closed to the public, but the Finals are open admission.
Applications are due at 11:59 p.m. on March 17 and can be found online.
