The Cypress Dome Society and Literary Magazine will be holding its biannual used book sale March 23-26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Colbourn Hall.
Whether you haven't read since you thumbed through The Scarlett Letter in 11th grade or you're halfway through annotating your copy of Ulysses for the third time, it's likely there will be something there for you.
"During that same time we're also having our book drive if someone passes by the sale and realizes they have a few books that they want to donate, they can give them to us right then and there, " Arielle Sánchez, secretary and social media manager for The Cypress Dome said.
Since all the books are donated, there are no set prices, but it is a major fundraising event for the society so it is recommended that students leave at least something.
"We would recommend a dollar, but it's honestly donation based and we will not tell how much we expect you to give us. It's just whatever you feel like giving," Sánchez said.
The Cypress Dome produces an annual literary and visual arts magazine based on student submissions and also hosts series like Writers in the Sun where world-renowned authors visit UCF to read from their work, answer questions and sign books.
Of all the aspects of The Cypress Dome, though, the book sale is Sánchez's favorite part.
"I really like it because I get to meet a lot of people who are readers so I just hope to come in contact with a lot of people and I hope to be able to tell them about The Cypress Dome Society and I hope they end up loving it as much as I do," she said.
