Will they hold boom boxes blaring Peter Gabriel above their heads or throw pebbles at their windows? It's too early to tell how the UCF Greek fraternities will serenade their chosen sororities for Homecoming 2015, but Sunday night, pairings began to be announced.
So far, the only confirmed pairing is between Kappa Delta and Phi Delta Theta, which KD announced on Twitter Sunday night.
The brothers of Sigma Nu made letters for Kappa Kappa Gamma in the sorority's classic Lilly Pulitzer print last week, however a pairing has not yet been confirmed.
Leading up to the official pairings, fraternities "serenade" the sorority of its choice. Fraternities members often sing to the sororities, or bring flowers and other gifts. Sometimes, a fraternity will serenade a sorority over the course of a week.
If more than one fraternity serenades a sorority, the sisters will vote on which one they wish to be paired with. Alpha Xi Delta, for example, has received offers from Sigma Pi, as well as Beta Theta Pi and Delta Upsilon, which have paired up to serenade the women of Alpha Xi together.
These spring pairings determine which Greek organizations will work together during UCF's Homecoming week, which takes place in fall. Paired chapters will attend socials together, perform skits together and generally be attached at the hip during this week.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates and more confirmed pairings.
