A sea of purple will fill Memory Mall for UCF's Relay for Life during the 18-hour event.
Relay for Life is a fundraising walk that raises money for the American Cancer Society in an effort to find a cure.
Relay teams set up tents across Memory Mall starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. The event will kick off at 2 p.m. and continue overnight until 8 a.m. Sunday.
One member from each team must be walking a lap at all times throughout the event.
Luminaira, which are paper bags traditionally containing votive candles, will be illuminated to show the community's support for cancer survivors and victims at the 8 p.m. ceremony. Each bag is personalized with a name, photo, message or drawing to honor those battling the disease and remember loved ones who lost the fight.
Visitors can stop by the tents throughout the day and night as they enjoy food and activities, while also having the opportunity to donate to the team of their choice.
