"He was doing exactly what we asked at first. I put him on the ground, put his hands behind his back. He was not combative," said UCF Police Supervisor Erik Lanshinsky. "As soon as I attempted to handcuff him for everybody's safety, that's when he became combative."
When the man, who police are still unsure is UCF student, started fighting Lanshinsky outside the library, the officer tased him in the back. Lanshinsky said it took three or four officers to get the man under control.
The man was taken to a local hospital by Orange County Fire Rescue and is currently being evaluated.
Police cleared the scene around 4 p.m. after officers and K-9 dogs made their way through the library. The library has since reopened the area has been cleared.
At this time, police do not know the victims the man hit.

A student who was inside the library during the incident told the Central Florida Future what she heard.
"I just heard the fire alarm go off and made my way to the nearest exit," Jessica Langley, sophomore mechanical engineering major said. "I was more just scared for myself."
Another student said he saw the same man behaving irrationally at Lazy Moon the week before spring break.
" ... That guy was super drunk and got thrown out, so he screamed, 'I'll show you a lazy moon!,' and mooned everyone through the window," said David Richards, a freshman sport and exercise science major.
