UCF-area Huey Magoo's to reopen before fall 2015
Remember the fried chicken, seasoned fries and garlic bread, all accompanied by the famous "Magoo's Sauce"?
Huey Magoo's on the corner of Alafaya Trail and McCulloch Road will be reopening soon for those in the UCF area to enjoy.
There is no set date, but the Oviedo location will definitely be open before fall, said Kali Pierce, the store manager at the Winter Springs location.
In late May 2014, the popular restaurant was almost completely damaged by a fire. The source of the fire was unknown, but the kitchen suffered most of the damages. Since then, Huey Magoo's has been temporarily closed for remodeling.
In spring 2013, Huey Magoo's opened its first express model in UCF's Student Union, and has continued to keep business flowing from UCF's campus and its Winter Springs location.
