UCF is set to undergo more construction Monday in order to expand Libra Drive from a two-lane road into a four-lane road.
The construction will stretch from the campus entrance at Research Park to the intersection at Gemini Boulevard South, according to UCF Today.
It is expected to take 10 months to complete, and new access points will be provided to places currently on Libra Drive, such as the Libra parking garage.
While at least one lane will be open and monitored by workers, it might be best to find alternate routes going on or off campus to alleviate heavy traffic and frustration.
Construction work will not take place on game days, but the surge of people might cause an increase in traffic.
In addition to the lane expansion, construction is planned to level the road to prevent flooding during rainfall and to create a right-turn lane on Gemini Boulevard for easier access to Libra Drive, according to UCF Today.
